The lecturer for this subject is Sr Lim Sek Cheon.
Total credit hours is 4. The assessment plan is divided into five components
that are Seminar, Final Account Assessment, Mid Term test, TGC Portfolio and
Final Examination. Each component except TGC Portfolio sums up assessment
weightage to 100%.
For the Seminar, I have to give a presentation on a chapter given by the lecturer. For Final Account Assessment, I and another four members in a group have to assess contractor's final account application. For the Mid Term test, I have to apply what I have learned in 5 weeks time.
The outcomes that I get from this subject are able to define the roles and responsibilities of the various parties involved in construction contracts in relation to particular clauses in the contract, able to explain the various construction contracts, and its limitation and constraints and define issues in interpreting the contract clauses of construction contracts. Besides that, I am able to define and analyze problems, and put theories into practice.
